When I was in India last year, I stumbled into a store unlike anything I had ever seen before. It was elegant, serene, and gorgeous. It was the kind of high-end boutique that I was used to encountering in New York, with its displays of American and European designers… except that all around me, I was delighted to discover the most sophisticated and traditional Indian designs.
That store was Good Earth. And I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you.
Founded and run by a mother-daughter duo, Good Earth is all about creating contemporary pieces for the home that are inspired by traditional Indian art forms. From dishes, candles, and vases to bedding, towels, and wall coverings — everything in this store is exquisite and painstakingly deliberate. The Good Earth team works with artisans all over India to craft products that are culturally authentic, yet incredibly modern at the same time. This is SO my style.
With only a handful of retail stores in India, Good Earth likes to maintain a highly-curated, family-oriented business model. Luckily for us, though, their website is just as beautiful as their in-store experience. And best of all… they ship to the U.S.!
